 The
"Post Shipment" button allows shippers to post loads on the Bid
Freight network using an electronic "RFP" template. The detailed,
itemized template allows shippers to provide carriers with comprehensive
shipment details, instructions and requirements.
The template contains easy-to-use selection
menus to complete shipment details quickly such as value, equipment
requirements, weight and measurement. Packaging and handling instructions
can be completed simply by clicking on the drop down menu which
provides a list of common options to choose from.
In addition, the template also gives shippers
the ability to complete other necessary requirements and provide specific
instructions for carriers such as:
- Extra pickup, drop off or stop off
- Loading, unloading, inside delivery
or no touch load
- Pickup or delivery appointment
- Ryan Recorder, exclusive use of truck
and insurance
- Tarps, tubes, airbags, shrink wrap or
skidded
- HazMat designation
- Pallets, pallet exchange or pallet lifter
Providing carriers with a comprehensive,
itemized detailed set of shipment requirements using Bid Freights
unique template gives shippers the ability to receive directly from
carriers, an itemized bid detailing the cost of each component with
no hidden fees or charges.
Using the electronic "RFP" template also
gives shippers the convenience of maintaining a comprehensive drop
down menu library of existing, modified or new posting templates.
Shippers can save and modify templates for recurring freight movements,
or create new templates as required.
